I have an old ring that I want to trade in on a new ring. Do you take trade-ins?
Yes we do take trade-ins.
We can also take your stones and combine them with ours
to give you
a new and modern piece of jewelry.
We will give you 80% of our selling price
for any of your diamonds,
and scrap gold value for old mountings.
If you have gemstones to trade, they are on a case by case basis.
Please don’t be mislead by a high insurance appraisal, there are so many of them out there.
The reason we bring up appraisals is because
there are such huge discrepancies in appraisals
from one jeweler to another.
You can have a ring appraised at Randy’s jewelry
for let’s say $2000.00,
then take the same ring to a mall type jewelry store and
receive as high as a $5000.00 appraisal.
The reason for this is the fake 50% to 70% off sales.
When shopping with a trade in it is very important to negotiate the cash price first.
At Randy’s Jewelry we don’t give percentage off discounts
so we are the exception to this rule.
The reason you need to get to the cash
selling price first is because
alot of the big jewelry chain stores and department
store jewelry counters have fake sales.
These fake sales mean that if they have
a $2000.00 tag,
and you tell them that you have a trade in,
they can give you a
$1000.00 trade in
and not really be giving you any money for your jewelry.
Someone else can buy that same merchandise for $1000.00 in cash.

liberal trade in allowance.
