What do you think about the lifetime guarantee
given by some jewelers on the Diamonds that they sell?

Before I answer that let me tell you about ours.

We give by reputation, a promise that our jewelry is of the highest quality.

If you have bought a ring from us and you lose a Diamond or Gemstone
through no apparent neglect or accident on your part,
we will replace it free within a couple of years.

After the first couple of years we will split the difference with you.

If you happen to have bought a piece of jewelry that had a defect at the time of purchase
we will repair it free, no matter how long you have owned it.

We care about our customers and their jewelry.

We will check and clean your jewelry to help prevent losses
whether we have made the jewelry or not.

To answer the question, we think most of the great sounding lifetime warranties on jewelry
all seem to have one thing in common.

They have a clause stating that in order for the guarantee to be in force,
you have to perform a task.

That is, you have to bring in your jewelry periodically for checkups or the warranty dies.

This may seem reasonable to most, but our experience tells us
that most jewelry items wear very well the first several years you own them.

In other words, most people simply don’t continue getting their rings checked
after the first couple of years and when they do have a loss, due to wear
the warranty is of course voided.

What we tell our customers is that we are happy to clean and inspect their jewelry anytime.

It is however after the first five years or so that you are at a greater risk of loss.
This is when you need to have your rings checked more frequently.

Isn’t it funny that a store would have a guarantee that would sound so good and mean so little.

We think it’s called marketing.

At Randy’s Jewelry you can rest assured that our merchandise is inspected
at least two times before it ever goes into our showcase, and then again when sold.

At Randy’s “WE MAKE QUALITY AFFORDABLE”.
